How to Look Younger…

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

1. Accessorize. Go get some funky jewelry and feel like a college girl again.

2. Colour your wardrobe. Go bold with bright colours and get rid of those dull grays & browns. You’re sure to feel younger and livelier.

3. Wrong lipstick shades can age you.  Try creamier lipsticks or glosses; glosses are especially youthful.

4. Stick to creamy blushes and eye-shadows. Older skin usually means dry skin, so creamy blushes and shadows are your best bet. Also, powder blushes and shadows tend to settle into your fine lines and wrinkles, while creamier products “plump” up your skin.

5. Define those eyes Curled lashes immediately make eyes “pop.”

6. Mind your posture. Think about all the sexy women you know. They stand up straight and confidently. Not only will this make you look ten pounds thinner in seconds, it will make you look five years younger as well!

7. Get a good night’s sleep to prevent puffy eyes, dull skin and a saggy face.

8. Most importantly….THINK YOUNG! :)

How to Apply a Concealer

Monday, July 23rd, 2012

The secret to properly applying concealer is to find the right shade and the blend it in so it looks flawless, not obvious.
To properly apply concealer, apply several dots of concealer under the eyes, then use the pad of your middle finger to tap it in (always tap, never rub). Apply concealer on other uneven spots on the face — including the chin, and around the nose and mouth if need be — and tap in. Dust fine, loose powder over your face to set your makeup. Loose powder applied with a fluffy brush is the secret to good concealer.

HAIR CARE- MYTH vs TRUTH

Thursday, July 19th, 2012

Myth: Split ends cannot spread.

Truth: Uncut split ends can travel up the hair shaft towards the roots. Tresses that are not tended to may develop splits that migrate and split all or part of the entire hair over time. Some ends can actually tear multiple times. That’s why it’s important to use quality products to protect hair against split ends and get regular trims!
